Instant noodles exist in a cultural contradiction - beloved as comfort food yet stigmatized in a health-conscious society. This creates unnecessary guilt despite the psychological benefits.
Insight
People instinctively personalize their noodle experience through toppings and integrate it into meaningful activities like gaming or watching shows, revealing emotional connections.
Solution
Using cultural probes and data visualization, Noodles & Beyond makes visible the overlooked affective data in food relationships, validating comfort eating while provoking discussion about balancing physical and emotional nourishment.
